Northeast Florida · county seat Jacksonville
Jacksonville is the biggest city in the state by land area and almost all of Duval County is on JEA, a municipal utility with its own interconnection process. There is a large installed base of residential solar here and a real shortage of companies willing to service somebody else's array. Beaches addresses get the salt-air check.

How we cover this county
Duval County is outside our daily Orlando to Miami run, so we are not going to pretend there is a van around the corner. Northeast Florida is a long but straightforward run up the coast, and Jacksonville has enough volume to justify it properly. We group work across Duval, Clay, St. Johns and Nassau into a single trip, so a few days notice gets you a real date rather than a maybe.
On the ground in Duval County
Duval permits through the City of Jacksonville, which is consolidated with the county, so there is mercifully one building department for almost the whole area. JEA is the municipal utility and its interconnection process is its own thing. Jacksonville has a large residential solar population and a genuine shortage of companies willing to take over another firm's array, which is most of why we get called this far north. The Beaches communities add salt exposure and their own building requirements; the inland west side is ordinary suburban shingle work at scale.
Duval is one of our busiest northern counties: a large installed base, JEA's own interconnection process, and very few companies willing to take over another firm's array.
Northeast Florida
Northeast Florida runs on municipal power around Jacksonville and cooperatives everywhere else, so the reconnection route changes depending on which side of a county line the house sits. There is a large installed base here and a genuine shortage of companies willing to take over somebody else's array, which is most of why we get called this far north.

FAQ
Yes. Northeast Florida is a long but straightforward run up the coast, and Jacksonville has enough volume to justify it properly. We group work across Duval, Clay, St. Johns and Nassau into a single trip, so a few days notice gets you a real date rather than a maybe. There is a minimum job size that makes the drive make sense, and we will tell you honestly on the first call whether yours fits.
We do. The reinstall needs a solar permit from Jacksonville or the Duval County building department, depending on the address, and in Florida only a licensed solar or electrical contractor can pull it. We handle it and meet the inspector.
It changes what fails. Salt air eats rails, clamps and grounding hardware long before it touches a panel, so on any Duval County job near the water we inspect every fastener before agreeing to put an array back on a new roof. Corroded hardware does not go back up.
