Tampa Bay · county seat Tampa
Tampa is one of the biggest solar markets in the state and Hillsborough County has the installed base to match, including a lot of systems sold by companies that have since closed. It is also its own utility territory with its own interconnection process. Big enough that we can batch a proper run of work rather than a single call-out.

How we cover this county
Hillsborough County is outside our daily Orlando to Miami run, so we are not going to pretend there is a van around the corner. Tampa Bay is a genuine day trip from South Florida and the market is big enough that we can line up several jobs across Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco in one run. That batching is what makes the drive work, so booking a week or two ahead gets you a better date and a better number than calling on the day.
On the ground in Hillsborough County
Hillsborough permits through the county or the City of Tampa, Temple Terrace and Plant City. Tampa Electric is the utility for most of the county and its interconnection process is separate from both Duke and FPL, which trips up contractors coming from elsewhere. Hillsborough has one of the largest residential solar populations in Florida, a great deal of it sold through dealer networks that have since collapsed, so orphaned system work is a bigger share of what we do here than roof work. The volume is enough to justify batching several jobs into one trip.
Hillsborough gives us enough volume to batch a proper run rather than a single call-out. Heavy on orphaned systems from dealer networks that closed.
Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay has the second-largest concentration of residential solar in Florida and three different utilities carving up the map, so the first question on any reinstall here is who actually holds the interconnection. Lots on the Pinellas side are tight, which makes staging a detach and finding somewhere safe to store panels a real planning problem rather than an afterthought.

FAQ
Yes. Tampa Bay is a genuine day trip from South Florida and the market is big enough that we can line up several jobs across Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco in one run. That batching is what makes the drive work, so booking a week or two ahead gets you a better date and a better number than calling on the day. There is a minimum job size that makes the drive make sense, and we will tell you honestly on the first call whether yours fits.
We do. The reinstall needs a solar permit from Tampa or the Hillsborough County building department, depending on the address, and in Florida only a licensed solar or electrical contractor can pull it. We handle it and meet the inspector.
It changes what fails. Salt air eats rails, clamps and grounding hardware long before it touches a panel, so on any Hillsborough County job near the water we inspect every fastener before agreeing to put an array back on a new roof. Corroded hardware does not go back up.
