Can my roofer just take the panels off?
Almost no roofer will, and the ones who try usually void something. The panel warranty, the inverter warranty and the roof warranty all assume a solar-licensed crew did the solar part. We handle the solar side and work directly with the roofer's schedule.
How long is the system offline?
The length of the roof job plus about a day on each side. We reinstall as soon as the roof passes its final inspection.
Do you use the old mounts?
Never. Old mounts go with the old roof. Every attachment on the new roof is new and flashed, so the roofer's warranty stays intact.
Will it need a permit?
In most Florida counties, yes. We pull the solar permit and meet the inspector so you do not have to.
