Collier County · Florida
Naples packs some of Florida's most valuable roofs into a small city on the Gulf. Many Old Naples cottages wear metal, the waterfront streets of Port Royal and Aqualane Shores carry large tile roofs, and Ian's surge in 2022 pushed a lot of those houses through major repairs.

How we cover it
Naples is outside our weekly Orlando to Miami run, so work here is booked ahead and grouped with other jobs in Southwest Florida. The drive is priced into the written quote, never added later. Call or text with the roofer's tear-off date and we will tell you which week works.
On the ground in Naples
Port Royal, Aqualane Shores, Park Shore and the Moorings were dredged into waterfront neighborhoods from the 1950s into the 1970s, and teardowns have since replaced many of the original houses with much larger homes under complex tile or metal roofs. Naples permits work through its own building department, while the far larger unincorporated area around it falls under Collier County. FPL provides the power. Ian flooded low streets across Old Naples and badly damaged the pier, and a wave of roof replacements followed. Most of the city lies within a mile or two of the Gulf, so salt reaches nearly every roof, and standing seam roofs take clamps matched to the seam rather than holes through the metal.
Owners of renovated cottages in Old Naples and around Third Street South often want the array back exactly where it was, with no new conduit in view. In Port Royal and the Moorings, re-roofs after Ian uncovered corroded rails and mounts that were never flashed properly for tile. Some owners also juggle city and association approvals at once.

Only a licensed solar or electrical contractor, because a roofing license does not cover it. The reinstall usually needs its own permit and inspection through Collier County or the city, depending on the address.
Homes in Naples are generally served by FPL. When an array goes back on after a roof job the utility usually needs to know, and the building department normally inspects the reinstall before the system is switched back on.
It changes what fails first. Salt attacks rails, clamps and grounding hardware long before it hurts a panel, so near the water every fastener gets checked and anything corroded is replaced rather than reused.

The address, roughly how many panels, who installed them if you know, and what is happening. A photo of the array from the street and one of the inverter get you an accurate number fastest, and texting them is the quickest way to send them.
