Osceola County · Florida
Celebration's houses were built to a pattern book, starting with the first village in 1996. Many of the earliest homes are now on their second roof or due for one, and the panels have to go back in a layout the community's owners association will approve. Duke Energy supplies the power.

On the ground in Celebration
Celebration is unincorporated, so building and electrical permits come from Osceola County, while appearance is governed by the community's own architectural rules. The pattern book assigned each lot a style, among them Victorian, Colonial Revival, Classical, Coastal, Mediterranean and French, and roof pitch, material and trim follow from that choice. Steep Victorian and Coastal roofs with dormers leave little open area around an array, and some houses pair shingle with metal porch roofs. Florida law keeps an association from banning solar, but it can steer panels to a particular roof face as long as that face points within 45 degrees of due south and output does not suffer. Summer thunderstorms here bring frequent lightning, and a nearby strike is a common reason an inverter or monitoring gateway goes dark.
Around Market Street and Lake Evalyn, the first wave of houses is on or near its second roof, and owners want the array back exactly as originally approved. North Village and South Village filled in a few years later, including the estate homes on Spring Park Loop. Artisan Park, the last phase, mixes townhomes and condos, where any change to a shared roof needs more than one board to agree.

FAQ
Yes, every week. Celebration is on our Orlando to Miami route, so it is normal scheduling with no travel charge, and the reinstall is lined up with your roofer's tear-off date.
Only a licensed solar or electrical contractor, because a roofing license does not cover it. The reinstall usually needs its own permit and inspection through Osceola County or the city, depending on the address.
Homes in Celebration are generally served by Duke Energy Florida. When an array goes back on after a roof job the utility usually needs to know, and the building department normally inspects the reinstall before the system is switched back on.
Usually. The installer's own workmanship warranty is gone, but the panels, inverter and optimizers carry manufacturer warranties that normally still apply, and a dead system is often one failed part rather than a worn-out array.

The address, roughly how many panels, who installed them if you know, and what is happening. A photo of the array from the street and one of the inverter get you an accurate number fastest, and texting them is the quickest way to send them.
